What we train

One facility, every discipline your fleet needs.

We don't build drones and we don't sell drones. We teach your people to run the ones you already bought, properly, safely, and within the rules.

01

Structural & facility inspection

Roofs, towers, tanks, and hard-to-reach infrastructure — flight patterns and data capture built for repeatable inspection reports.

02

LIDAR & sensor payloads

Third-party LIDAR, thermal, and high-resolution camera attachments. We train the payload, not just the airframe.

03

Mesh & long-range comms

Mesh relay operation, radio link discipline, and long-range RC procedure for teams that need reach beyond line of sight.

04

Search & rescue support

Grid search patterns, low-light procedure, and coordination workflow for teams supporting local SAR and emergency response.

05

Fire & safety observation

Persistent overwatch, fire-edge tracking, and safety-observer procedure for job sites and public events.

06

Light shows & entertainment

Choreographed fleet operation, timing sync, and show-day safety planning for the fun end of the fleet.

The facility

A weekend in Northern Arizona, not a webinar.

Our training ground sits on open desert acreage built for real flight time — not a hotel conference room. Crews fly by day and stay on-site, so a weekend actually turns into certified hours logged.

  • On-site lodging for weekend cohorts, no commute between sessions
  • Open airspace suited for long-range and mesh-relay practice
  • Small cohorts — hands on the controller, not just watching a slide
  • Custom curriculum built around the hardware your team already runs

Target markets

Vendor-neutral instruction for regulated, contract-driven clients.

Our client base consists of organizations that require documented, compliant UAS capability rather than ad hoc operation — a distinction that governs every engagement we accept.

Corporate structure & compliance

Organized, regulated, and contractually bound — by design.

Mohave Technology Training Group operates as a formally registered business entity, not an informal association. Every service we provide is delivered under documented authority, not independent initiative.

§1

Entity formation

Organized as a state-registered LLC with corporate tax election, holding an EIN, applicable business licenses, and jurisdiction-appropriate local permits.

§2

Federal authorization

All flight operations conducted under FAA Part 107, with Remote Pilot Certification maintained for instructional staff and additional waivers, COAs, or BVLOS authorizations obtained per engagement.

§3

Insurance & liability

Commercial general liability and UAS-specific coverage maintained at levels appropriate for public safety and infrastructure-adjacent contract work.

§4

Engagement basis

Services are rendered exclusively under signed contracts or memoranda of understanding with the requesting agency or client — never on independent authority.

§5

Scope exclusions

The company does not provide armed services, independent security enforcement, autonomous tactical operations, or paramilitary training of any kind.

§6

Tax & reporting

Operated transparently as a for-profit, taxable entity, with standard deduction, payroll, and sales-tax treatment applied to all service revenue.

This framework is what distinguishes a commercial UAS services provider from an unaffiliated or unauthorized group: incorporation, licensure, insurance, and a documented client relationship for every operation performed.

To deliver safe, FAA-compliant unmanned aircraft systems training and support services that bridge commercial hardware with professional operational standards.

Our mandate is instruction and contracted support — not enforcement, not security, and not independent operational authority. Every engagement proceeds under the direction of the contracting agency or client.

Desert camp

Stay, fly, repeat — a drone-focused retreat in the open desert.

Beyond structured training, the property runs as a family-friendly stay for anyone who wants dedicated time and space to fly. Book a cabin, bring your own aircraft or use ours, and spend the weekend flying terrain most operators never get open airspace to try.

  • Private cabin lodging, with RV hookups and space welcome
  • Access to UAV, RC, and drone hardware plus tools and spare parts on-site
  • Guided outings to curated nearby flying locations, not just the home field
  • Open desert airspace suited for long-range, mapping, and just having fun
